Intro:
Hello, my name is Autumn Cantu. I'm originally from Ruby, Alaska but moved to Fairbanks when I was 10 years old. I have two wonderful children, Kaebrie and James Cantu. I'm married to my amazing husband, Cole and I have three dogs. I'm currently in the UAF Social Work program and starting my practicum this semester! I'm so very excited to learn from this course and work along side you all, good luck with your semester everyone.
My relationship to art is actually very minimal lately, or at least I think so. When I think about art, I automatically think about drawing or painting. I believe it takes me to those two options because I feel most comfortable with them, due to having a little history of taking art classes for my electives. I also find myself make a lot of media art as well for my job. I'm currently a communications manager for my job at Native Peoples Action and Native Peoples Action Community Fund. I don't go to any art museums, but some day I would like to.
I chose The Starry Night because I recreated this in high school, but added the Grinch's home at the top of the mountain, and put Whoville at the bottom.
